2008 was a great start to Ninth Avenue Vintage- 20 sales in the two months that I was open on Etsy. I've learned a great deal about business, getting better photos of my items and the Etsy world. Before starting this online shop I've sold misc. items on Ebay and books on Amazon. However, nothing compares to the buyers on Etsy- I've never received so many positive emails from people who are excited about getting their item and who are ecstatic when their item comes in the mail. One of my recent and favorite feedbacks from a buyer reads:"LOVE THIS SKIRT! It's so beautiful, I put it on as soon as it arrived and just twirled around in it! What an awesome find from a now favorite collection! It was even packaged so nicely (I felt like it was Christmas all over again!) Thank you! Highly recommend this seller!"
Now I get a lot of enjoyment when I find a great item and when I finally sell an item but really nothing gets to me like this kind of feedback. It is the most rewarding part of my business and what keeps me going when I feel down or when I think I won't sell another thing again. Etsy is such a positive community and I'm grateful to have discovered it and be a part of it.
I'm looking forward to business in 2009- so far it's a great start with 3 sales in the new year and hopefully many more to come. Thank you to all who support my business!
